The Mechanic’s pendant is a study of positive and negative space, density and openness, strength and fragility, an exploration of yin and yang. A geometric yoke made of solid metal reveals its industrial inspiration. In contrast, the transparent glass surround is almost non-existent, echoing the form of the lampshade. An ultra-thin Edison bulb is housed inside, displaying a striking filament of light.
